| About This Portion of the Site: |
First we selected 50 different classic rock groups. Then we chose one
album from each of the selected groups. We chose these albums for a
variety of reasons. Some albums were milestones or breakthrough albums for
the groups and some just had a great selection of tunes. Album covers and
design were also taken into account. Many of the albums listed we consider
breakthrough albums for entire genres. Some of these albums served as the
introduction of new guitar heroes to the world. After all, what is classic
rock without the guitar hero? Some albums are recent compilation CD's that
cover the artists best material. Many people will not agree with some of
the choices made and may think that better choices could have been made.
To that we say: "Oh well, we can't please everyone." And besides, we're
human, we quite often make mistakes.
