What Was the Best 1990s Teen Show? by Laura Rosewall
There were some great teen shows
in the 1990s. By teen shows, I mean TV shows that
involved main characters who were somewhere between the
age of 13 and 19. I'll give you a few examples of these.
There was 90210, with all of the
Beverly Hills High teens. Brandon, Brenda, Dylan, Steve,
Andrea, Kelly, Donna, David Silver, and the rest of the
crew graced our presence on TV every week for most of
the decade. This show was a classic.
there was The Wonder Years. Fred Savage did a great job
reliving a childhood from the 1960s and 1970s. It almost
made us seem like we were right there with him and
Winnie Cooper through every one of his moments. Of course, there was Full
House. The Tanner household was always full of adventure
and the whole family gave us some laughs.
Boy Meets World was another good
one. Part of the TGIF Friday night TV lineup every week,
this was always a fun and entertaining show as we got to
watch Ben Savage (Fred's little brother) going through
some interesting experiences.
At the end of the day, the best
one in my mind was Saved By the Bell though. Every
Saturday morning was an adventure waiting to see what
Zack and the rest of the crew at Bayside High were up
to. Still to this day, I enjoy watching reruns of these
episodes and always find myself watching them in full
whenever they're on. This was a classic show.
